Summer is almost here and to make the most of the warm and sunny weather we have a few ideas for creating a fabulous new pool patio area.
If you are looking to design or create a new look for the pool decking or patio, firstly decide on the overall look and feel you want.
Do you prefer a contemporary style or alternatively a more natural, garden oasis feel? Adding a covered patio area is another option to provide shade during the hottest part of the day and is also ideal for outdoor kitchens.
Another question to think about is the number of people that you like to entertain during the summer. If you love large parties, then why not construct an area complete with a built-in BBQ or kitchen – or an outdoor fire pit? As the sun starts to go down it is perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere and to keep the party going well into the night.
If you enjoy relaxing with family or friends – or simply wish to chill out reading a good book or listening to music – then an outdoor room with deep seated, comfortable furniture is something to consider. Similarly, if dining al fresco is a firm favourite, design the area to accommodate a large outdoor dining set for family gatherings and with friends.
